Everyone we encountered on our tour of Inda-Gro was smiling; you could tell that their success was not simply finding a solution to a question, but fulfilling a passion to make something great. Everyone on the team seemed sincerely invested in what they were doing; whether they were in front of a monitor, under a grow light, behind a drill, or surveying the on-site gardens: You could tell they wanted to be there. That itself is an important attribute to note. We started our tour in the gardens. Never mind the production facility; we were led straight to the evidence that their lights are producing some of the healthiest, most robust green life we’d ever seen! There were plants of all varieties; I tried a bit of garlic myself and it was incredibly delicious. This is what our produce is actually supposed to look like and taste like. The sight of Inda-Gro’s gardens would transform your sweet cravings to green cravings in a heartbeat – I guarantee it! We’d never seen such lush greenery that we could safely pick and munch on and know without a doubt how it was grown and what it was given to produce. Their gardens are a maze of soil, hydroponic, and aquaponic systems alike. There were so many moving parts, yet it was so simple. They had succeeded in building a system anyone could operate and it all started with their induction grow light.
This world-class induction grow light was the core of it all. Where did the innovation begin? When did they seek out the void and create a product that is now respected by growers all over the world? He’d grown up gardening in the Midwest and eventually started growing cannabis in the 70s. His years of experience in that and his professional experience in power-generation led him to believe that he could create a better grow light that consumed less energy. This ultimately meant that they were able to forego the ambiguousness of bottled nutrients and know with certainty what exactly their plants were intaking; it was an all-natural, low-maintenance growing system that gave the every day person the ability to grow their own food and if they were a medical marijuana patient, their own meds.
